I had an excellent experience with Dr. Ashitey. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and genuinely cared for. Dr. Ashitey took the time to listen carefully to my concerns, answered all of my questions, and explained everything in a clear and reassuring way.
What truly stood out was the level of compassion and professionalism. I never felt rushed, and it was clear that my health and well-being were the top priority. It’s rare to find a doctor who combines expertise with such a kind and attentive approach.
I have recommended Southwest Family Medicine to my family and coworkers, and I can confidently say that all of their providers are great. The office staff is also friendly and efficient, making the entire visit smooth and stress-free.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience. The majority of the staff are consistently rude, despite me always treating them with kindness and respect.
I kept returning solely because of my doctor, Dr. Ashitey, who I love. However, since she was booked until May, I had to see Dr. Jaiswal. After waiting an hour and a half, she dismissed my concerns as a mental issue rather than addressing them professionally. As a Black woman, this kind of dismissal in medical settings is unfortunately all too familiar.
When I pointed out that she had filled out my paperwork incorrectly, she denied it and sent nurses in to further dismiss me. One nurse was particularly unprofessional — redirecting the conversation to her own issues instead of addressing my concerns.
I will not be returning to this office. It’s a shame, because one great doctor shouldn’t be surrounded by this level of unprofessionalism.

Dr Ashitey is thorough, knowedgeable and explains medical issues in laymen’s terms. She’s one of the best kept secrets in Dallas. Staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. They offer a wide variety of services and have trained specialists. Great medical care.
